The song “Cavatina” by Stanley Myers, was originally composed for piano, but was later re-written for guitar by the same author, on the suggestion of John Williams, who recorded it before the film “The Deer Hunter” in 1978. Thanks to that movie the song of Williams hit the charts and became one of the best-known classical guitar songs. Cavatina is a song not easy, because it requires a good control of the barré, but it is certainly very fascinating to play, try it for yourself with the tab below.
