One of Segovia’s greatest merits is that it has involved some great composers of the twentieth century and thus expanded the repertoire of the classical guitar. One of these composers was Joaquin Turina, who composed five pieces for guitar that make use of typical techniques of Flamenco, as the rasgueado. These songs have a good stylistic content and tension-balance, as Fandanguillo Op.36, composed in 1929 and interpreted among others by Andres Segovia and Julian Bream.
