“Verano Porteño” is a tango composed by Astor Piazzolla, who is apparently the “Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas“, a suite of songs though were composed at different times by Piazzolla. Piazzolla’s style is a mix of tradition and innovation, why his tango was so different from the traditional Argentine tango. In this song alternate parts very rhythmic and other more calm and reflective, with sounds that come out of a lot of the usual cliché of the tango. “Verano Porteño” was played on guitar by guitar virtuoso John Williams, but also Gary Ryan has done a very nice version.
