What is commonly known throughout the world as “Albinoni’s Adagio” is actually a composition of the Italian musicologist Remo Giazotto of 1958. The equivocation is that Giazotto said that he wrote this music from Albinoni’s manuscript fragments but It actually does not seem to be true. However, although it is not an original work of Albinoni, “Adagio in G minor” is a beautiful melody that has been interpreted with different orchestrations, although the original is for arches. There is also a classic guitar version written by Daniel J. White used for the soundtrack of Jess Franco’s “La comtesse noire”.
If you love the meditative and relaxing atmospheres of “Adagio in G minor“, I can also recommend listening to my song “Aria d’Ohm“, very meditative 432 Hz music.
